Crocodile Bay Lodge covers all the bases. The waters of southern Costa Rica, in the Gulfo Dulce region, are among the most fertile in Central America. Anglers have a wide range of opportunities throughout the year, and Crocodile Bay is well-equipped to take advantage of every one of them.

For those who enjoy blue water fishing, climb aboard one of the lodge's new 27' Rambo sportscruisers, or upgrade to one of the 33-footers also in their fleet. Offshore waters teem with billfish, including sails and blue and black marlin. In addition, dorado, tuna and wahoo are abundant and favorites of the light-tackle angler. Crews are familiar with all the right approaches, including fly fishing for billfish.

Inside the Gulf, there's a wealth of opportunities. The lodge's 21', center console boats are perfectly suited to these calmer waters and able to patrol the rocky shore easily. Drift live bait, cast a plug or even a fly, for the exotic roosterfish, or bulldog-strong cubera snapper. Sneak up on a school of jack in a feeding frenzy, or drop a jig along the rocks for snapper and grouper. The possibilities are almost endless.

Until Crocodile Bay opened its doors, few anglers had a chance to explore the many rivers and creeks that flowed into the bay. Now anglers can climb aboard one of the camp's l7', shallow-draft skiffs and run up the rivers in search of snook and corvina.

Crocodile Bay maintains a complete tackle shop, from light casting and spinning outfits to top-quality stand up and trolling gear, plus all the right lures and rigging materials for all the gamefish in the region. And it's yours to use as part of any fishing package.

When the sun begins to track the horizon, head back to the lodge. Take a refreshing dip in the lodge's freshwater pool, or soothe aching muscles in the jaccuzi. Then head for the main lodge, where snacks are always waiting, followed by a well-prepared dinner, including homemade deserts.

Double-occupancy rooms feature air conditioning, private bathrooms, electricity and plenty of space to store your gear. Sit outside on the patio or balcony and enjoy a colorful Costa Rican sunset.

Trips to Crocodile Bay include the first and last night's hotel accommodations in San Jose at a top-quality hotel, local transfers in town as well as flights to the lodge, all meals, accommodations and guided fishing, plus use of the camp's tackle. Even your beer and wine is part of the package.

A variety of packages can be arranged, starting with the standard four-night, three-day minimum. Trips can begin any day of the week and can last as many days as you like.

Come experience Costa Rica's angling bounty at Crocodile Bay Lodge.
